Guests enter the Carl Gustav House to officially sign-in. They are met by our Whimsical Gentleman Rabbit (painted on the wall) who is always on duty to welcome our guests.
In our Fireside Room hundreds of guests have been welcomed since we opened in 1986. The Hannah Marie was the first country inn in NW Iowa. This was the time when we were purchasing antiques, selecting pretty wallpapers, painting and gathering recipes.
Our Three Dining Rooms
The English Village Tea Room was a must as Mary was a Fullbright Exchange Teacher in the Cockney area of London in 1958-9. Our family with two young children enjoyed our Saturdays touring London's museums and having a "cuppa" (tea). This is a tradition at the inn when afternoon tea is served.

The Gallery dining room has a charming 1920 style floor painting and features French Impressionist prints... to delight your eye.
Next, is our Italian Courtyard dining room. The Trope Loeil walls and floor paintings magically created an alfresco setting. Through the lace curtains you can peek at the Butterfly Garden.
